30 Years and Back Together Again

What do you usually think when you hear about homecoming? The enthusiastic games? The grandiose party? The sharing of success stories in life? Or the conglomerate meeting up of the batchmates in their beloved alma mater? Homecoming is the dating back of memory until the present day.

In the afternoon of Thursday, July 19th, 2018, Mountain View College Academy officially started the 3-day-long program of the Batch 88, celebrating their 30 years of being alumni of the school.

The program begins with a meet and greet ceremony at the Pioneer Hall. After which a courtesy call to the president in his office. The first day of the homecoming celebration ended with a worship and dinner.

Next day, 10:30 am of Friday, July 20th, 2018, a chapel convocation with the MVCA Batch 88 was welcomed with a blast presentation. Sir Ray Opao, class auditor interviewed their abroad or overseas workers about their unforgettable high school memories, present works and their advices to the aspiring students.

Afternoon of the same day was the picnic outing of the batch at the Malingon Falls.Vesper worship was held separately at the Pioneer's hall.

Saturday morning, July 21st, 2018, the class president of the batch, Erben Joe Bayeta delivered a message on their sunrise worship at Jubilee Park. For their divine worship service, the batch secretary, Milma Ruthie Budayao-Villavicencio gave a message for everyone. The message was all about the best plans of God for us whether it be from failures and success as found in the book of Isaiah 5:8-9 and 29:11. It gives a promise for us to know that God guides us in reaching our dreams. Sabbath afternoon, the batch conducted a reach out program for their classmates who are going through a difficult situation in life. The night was filled with social activities and catching up with old friends.

Sunday was the last day of the homecoming, so they went for an outing tour at (Montesclaros) MM ranch. A special farewell dinner prepared by the family of Mariano Rico Montesclarosy in their residence and at Roadhouse Cafe.

The reunion ceremony was coordinated in the campus by the energetic and congenial teachers Mrs. Starry Blue Frasco-Rosalejos, Rey Opao and Re Jean Mae Malinao-Subigca.

The batch 88 of Mountain View College Academy celebrated their homecoming ceremony with the theme "30 Years Back Together Again." Re Jean Mae Subigca was quoted as saying, “They say that First love never dies, but so are high school memories.”
