Flags

What is a flag? What purpose does it have? Is it just for decoration? Is it for show? No. A flag symbolizes freedom. It means that the land or country is independent and can stand on its own. No two flags are the same, and thus it means that the country is also unique and so are its people, its land and its environment. The flag is the pride of the nation. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]MVC has the tradition of raising the flags in respect to the Filipino and to the international students on the first Monday of every month. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]This event is not just for show, but it helps us to remember our symbol that we have gained our freedom as a country. To remember the sacrifices that our national heroes did so we may enjoy the peace and freedom we have today. We may be all different from each other but under the same flag, we are united as a nation and under God… WE...ARE…ONE.
