The School of Nursing attended the 4th Philippine Nursing Students Association (PNSA) Convention, Bukidnon Chapter, on April 5-6, 201, at Central Mindanao University. This is an annual event that is regularly attended by 4 different Nursing schools in Bukidnon: San Isidro College, Bukidnon State University, Central Mindanao University, and Mountain View College. With its theme, “Nurses: A Force for Change: Improving Health Systems’ Resilience through Nursing Education,” the convention officially started at around 9:00 in the morning of April 5. Mrs. Pilar V. Domagsang, CMU College of Nursing Dean, welcomed all the attendees and Dr. Arlita A. Minguez, CHED Region X Supervisor, gave the keynote address.

After the lunch was served, team building activities followed which fostered the bonds and fellowship between the students in their respective groups. A medical mission also happened concurrently that afternoon, participated in mostly by MVC student nurses.

The second day began with a Plenary Session which featured Dr. Erlinda C. Palaganas, a professor from UP-Baguio. A research forum, which was composed of podium and poster presentations followed and ball games, a quiz bowl, and a poster making contest were the activities of the afternoon.

To culminate the convention, a social night was held, which included a buffet dinner, a talent show, the election and recognition of the next batch of PNSA officers, and the awarding of the prizes and certificates. The program ended a few minutes before 10PM and the tired student nurses smiled for their final photographs, said their goodbyes, and then boarded their buses bound for home.
